Wood is the obvious choice of material for modern buildings. The wood has a special ability to store CO2 and simply gets more beautiful over time.

We at Frøslev are passionate about sustainable solutions, and we therefore want to make it easy to gain knowledge of the many possibilities that exist when using wood as a sustainable building material. Fortunately, making a sustainable choice is easy today!

Certifications

Being able to trace the wood is important to us in order to feel confident that environmental as well as social sustainability is not disregarded. Our wood is therefore FSC® - or PEFC TM certified.

Our certifications in general

Denmark primarily uses the two above certification schemes as they are well integrated in the timber industry in large parts of the world. Frøslev makes sure - partly by purchasing certified products, but also through close collaboration, dialogue and visits directly at the source - to always have traceability and assurance that the goods we deliver meet our own high ethical standards and quality requirements.

'Træ i byggeriet'

We have entered the climate fight.

Together with other Danish suppliers of wood and wood-based solutions for construction, we are now forming a common front in the fight to promote sustainable and climate-friendly construction.

We are part of the new association "Trees in the Construction" (in Danish 'Træ i byggeriet'), where the agenda is quite clear: We want to explain to the Danes that increased use of wood is essential to achieve the global climate targets with regard to CO2 emissions.

FSC®

The FSC mark is your guarantee for responsible logging and improved living conditions for the local population in forests around the world - from tropical rainforests to Swedish coniferous forests.

FSC works to spread responsible forestry worldwide and helps look after the forests for future generations. Frøslev is a member of FSC Danmark.

PEFC

PEFC represents sustainable forestry, i.e. environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management for current and future generations.

Of course, Frøslev sells PEFC-certified wood.

Frøslev is an ambassador for wood in Denmark and supports Træ.dk, Denmark's wood portal.
